First Blog Ever!!!

So, here I am as a very official First Time Blogger... wish me luck!

I had so many ideas about what this could be about, but ultimately, I decided that it should be about me trying to rediscover myself.

I have three girls, and I'm a stay-at-home mom (SAHM), and have been for over 17 years.

My kids are all in school, and my husband (SuperNurse) works a lot. Thus, lots of time for me home alone. I always laugh at that... Okay, more time than I used to have, but really? Why do people assume that?

So... when I first had all of my kids in school, I was really sick for a long time. I have Ulcerative Colitis, which is a really crappy disease (pun intended). If you don't know what it is, you aren't the only one. After all, who likes to talk about poop? I may include a few links later on about it, or you could look it up yourself!
That's what mom's say, isn't it? Haha :) (I had to throw in the haha for my teenager, Swimmergirl. I swear she won't understand your text unless it has a good half-dozen of those babies thrown into it)!

Now, I am much healthier (thank you Remicade, my wonder drug that I can no longer take). Being healthier, I can now find myself again!!!

When you no longer know who you are, I think that you should remember who you were originally. I remember loving cooking, throwing parties, reading (did a lot of reading while sick), hiking (bring on the summer already!), crafting, sewing, and things like that.

So, that is where I began. Take last week, for example.
I have a fairly new friend WonderChef, who is from Malaysia. She let me plan a little cooking class with a few mutual friends, at her house! That's how you know she will be a great friend! She taught us how to make authentic Chinese Spring Rolls and Fried Rice. Ohhh, it was so yummy!
I really should have taken pictures then, so that I could post them, but I had no clue that I'd start blogging today. So, pictures will have to wait. I will include her recipe AFTER I make it. I am going to wait on the recipe too, because she kind of threw things into her wok, as I furiously scribbled what I thought were the amounts she used. I would like to make it first to see if I actually wrote it down correctly!

And, out comes the perfectionist in me!
